Bookable spaces at AMEX STADIUM

Car parking is available to book now at the AMEX Stadium, which is a short walk from Stanmer Park and the Event Village.

Please note that this is parking only and NOT a park and ride service. If you are doing the marathon please see below regarding buses and trains to the marathon start on Brighton seafront, from the car park.

Marathon Runners – please note before booking:

If you wish to use this parking as a Brighton Trail Marathon participant, you must aim to catch the No 25 bus, which will run from Falmer train station next to the stadium. You must get the 06:30, 07:00 or 07:28 in order to reach the Start on time.

This bus will stop at Old Steine Gardens just north of Brighton Palace Pier and the Start.

Or, you can catch the 07:30 train from Falmer to Brighton will also get you to Brighton station on time.

The walk from Brighton station to the start line on Madeira Drive is roughly 17 minutes. You can see a route here.

10k Runners

If you are a BrightonTrail 10k participant, you may wish to use this car park to get to your start line in Stanmer Park (please note you do not start on Madeira Drive with the marathon runners). The walk from the car park is roughly 20 minutes.

Public Car Parks

There are a number of Car Parks located in the centre of Brighton that Brighton Trail Marathon participants may wish to make use of early on Sunday 26 June, ahead of their start at 8.30am on Madeira Drive. You can find a list of these here.

If you park in a city car park, public buses and trains will be running from Falmer Station (which is a short walk from Stanmer Park and the finish in the Event Village) to the city after you finish.

TOP TIP: If you are coming from a considerable distance outside of Brighton, it might be worth considering booking accommodation to make your event start as easy as possible.

Trains

Brighton mainline station is only a 17 minute walk to the marathon start on Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront. Please check the train services are running as expected in the days preceding the event in case of engineering works or reduced services.

Buses / Coach

Please check the Brighton & Hove Bus Company website for the most up to date travel information and full timetables.

Airports

London Gatwick is the closest airport and is 30 minutes away by train (trains run direct from the airport to Brighton mainline station) or 35-40 minutes by car.

London Heathrow is about 2 hours away by train or coach. Visit National Express for details of drop off points in Brighton and to book coach tickets.

Taxis

If you are staying in or near Brighton taxis will be able to collect you and drop you close by to the Start area on Race morning.

By Bicycle

There is a list of bicycle parking available on the Brighton & Hove City Council website here. There are bike racks at Stanmer Park and the University of Sussex for 10k runners who wish to cycle to the start of the Brighton Trail 10k.
