The 2023 event will take place on Sunday 11 June 2023 in Stanmer Park.
Age categories / Route Distances
Brighton Trail Kids events will be split into Under 9’s and Over 9’s. (Children who are 9 years old fall into the Over 9 category).
The Under 9 races will be over a shorter distance to make it more comfortable for little legs.
Both events will take in the Stanmer Park grassy area and the beautiful woodland trails for a unique experience that they will love!
Under 9’s Trail : 0.75 miles / 1.2km
7 & 8 Year Olds
Start time: 9AM
Over 9’s Trail : 1.2 miles / 2km
9 & 10 Year Olds
Start time: 9:15AM
11 & 12 Year Olds
Start time: 9:30AM
13 – 17 Year Olds
Start time: 9:45AM
How do I know which age category to enter my child into?
Minimum Age: 7 years old
Maximum Age: 17 years old
If the runners birthday falls on race day then they must enter into the category of the age they are turning. For example, if a runners 11th Birthday is the 25th June, then they must be entered into the U13 category.
UNDER 9 – The runner must be 7 or 8 years old on Sunday 26 June 2022.
UNDER 11 – The runner must be 9 or 10 years old on Sunday 26 June 2022.
UNDER 13 – The runner must be 11 or 12 years old on Sunday 26 June 2022.
UNDER 15 – The runner must be 13 or 14 years old on Sunday 26 June 2022.
UNDER 18 – The runner must be 15 or 16 or 17 years old on Sunday 26 June 2022.
Your Participant Instructions will be shared closer to the event date.
When you sign up you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code, confirming your place.
Please keep this safe and file it.
It will also be re-sent before the event.
You can change most of your personal details on your account by accessing your account via: http://raceroster.com. Once logged in, please select the drop down in the top right corner, and then ‘Participant Dashboard’, from here you can update your details.
All Race Packs must be collected from the Event Village in Stanmer Park on event day.
Your Race Pack will contain:
- Race number
- Safety pins

Your child’s security
As a parent or responsible adult for the child runner you remain responsible for the whereabouts and behaviour of your child at all times. We will however ensure that marshals and stewards that come in direct contact with the children are appropriately CRB checked.
We will have a LOST person notification point, which will be at the Information point within Event Village. Please report to this area if you are a lost child or if you have lost a child.
Children will be given an identifiable race number for their event, and will be reunited with parents at the finish according to the the colour of their race number.
Parents will also be supplied with a wristband that corresponds to their child’s race number, allowing them to collect the child at the finish. The collecting parent MUST be wearing their wristband.
We will send all participants e-newsletters. These will contain helpful advice articles as well as event updates on a range of topics including essential information such as Participant Instructions, maps, event status, travel and race pack collection. We advise that all participants receive these but you can opt out from them if you wish. If you do opt out and decide you would like to opt back in, please email email@example.com
