Trail running isn’t all about time and many runners take to the trails to slow down and enjoy the views. Nonetheless, we had some impressive speeds around our courses and our competitive runners took up the challenge of our 10k with determination and very fast feet!
This was our first ever Brighton Trail Weekend, meaning the winners of each race have officially now set our course records.
Dan Stent, a Hove local and part of the running club Vegan Runners has set our 10k course record by winning the race with a time of 40:39.
In second place we had another club member from Vegan Runners as Darren Comeau from Tonbridge finished with a time of 41:43.
Our third place winner in the men’s race was David Slater, another local from Shoreham-by-Sea who completed the course in 41:51.
Our women’s race winner was Katherine O’Hara from Portslade who’s 47:39 time is now our course record!
Hannah Araniello secured our second place by completing the route in 50:19
17-year-old Madeleine Cranitch, one of our youngest 10k runners, secured third place with an impressive time of 50:59
